About us

The “Base 5 Group Pty Limited” was pioneered in 2014 by Mr Lucky Moshimane who is an entrepreneur born and bred in the Zerverfontein Farm currently known as Steyn City Parklands Residence situated in the Fourways Area. Over the years Lucky took advantage of the number of challenges facing the land owners, property developers and the City Of Johannesburg in addressing issues relating to the illegal invasion of land, rapid increase in informal settlements including management of informal graves and the ever increasing violent crimes in the communities.

The above lead to the birth of Lucky’s business entities working in partnership with the City Of Johannesburg and the major land developers and the communities successfully completed projects which included Steyn City Parklands Residence, Dainfern Ridge Estates, Fourways crossing, Blair Athol In Lanseria, Lanseria Airport, Lufhereng Development In JHB South, Cosmocity In JHB North and many others in and around the greater Gauteng Area.

In 2014 after Lucky’s unexpected long illness he launched the “Base 5 Group” 100% black owned and managed with BBBEE / EME status in consolidating all of the services in a single platform. The Base 5 Group is a trade mark housing the following subsidiary companies:-

Base 5 Group comprises of Highly Talented, Innovating and Inspired individuals with a primary objective of providing a complete solution to the communities, government, and development organisations in as far as human settlement is concerned.

Statement from the Founder

"I am pleased to see my dream of providing the services that seeks to find an amicable solution to the challenges facing the land developers, state and other stakeholders.

I was born and bred in the Zerverfontein farm commonly known as the Greater Steyn City and Dainfern Developments. The growth of the northern Johannesburg Suburbs affected my communities from which I was raised due to the vast property development in and around the area. People from my community and the surrounding were being evicted continually without being provided with alternative accommodation.

I then had to find a way to intervene in trying to find an amicable solution benefiting all parties affected this lead to the creation of my companies in various fields which included mediation in the relocation of informal settlements, mediation in the relocation of informal graves, security and management of informal settlement and developments thus proving a complete solution to the challenges directly affecting the Landowners, Land developers and stakeholders such as Rural Development, City Of Johannesburg, Department Human Settlement etc.

After year of working closely with the City Of JHB and the land owners, land developers and the communities we successfully completed a number of relocations which includes Steyn City Parklands Residence, Dainfern Estate, Fourways Crossing and many more. Our footprint was later extended to include the Northwest Province, Limpopo and Mpumalanga province providing the same complete solution to the challenges they faced. We then decided in 2014 after my 2 years long illness to consolidate and house all of our services and experience into a singly structure hence the birth of the “Base 5 Group Brand”.
